Your Local Club

Glanmire Taekwon-Do was founded by Alan Troy in Glanmire Community College. As the club grew and members progressed through to black belt and national teams, the club moved from the school location, to a hall that allowed for specific martial arts training. Through the help of club members the hall was transformed to reflect a modern day Do-jang, suitable for children and adults.

The club now runs classes for children, teenagers, adult only classes and black belts classes.

Alan Troy (7th Degree) is the chief instructor of the club and he teaches alongside his daughter Amy-Jane (6th Degree), Michael O'Keeffe (5th Degree) and Timothy O'Sullivan (3rd Degree).

The club focuses on communicating the benefits of Taekwon-Do and how it can be incorporated into your regular life. The exercises done in a regular class focus on improving cardio fitness, core-muscles and flexibility.

"Everyone joins a club for a different reason and this is what a club so great! Everyone comes and trains towards their own goals - it's an hour where you can forget about work and everything else that is going on and just get moving"
